Greater Sudbury Arts Pass Program

The Greater Sudbury Arts Pass Program is a partnership between the Greater Sudbury Public Library and the Sudbury Theatre Centre (STC) that allows patrons to borrow a limited number (4) of passes to the STC, in the same way they would borrow library material.

Created to broaden access to Sudbury's cultural scene by providing the opportunity to take in a show, the Greater Sudbury Arts Pass Program provides a one-time pass that is good for up to four (4) tickets to one of the following upcoming STC productions:

  • Plaid Tidings (December 6-22, 2018)
  • Here on the Flight Path (February 7-23, 2019)
  • The Birds and the Bees (April 11-27, 2019)

Four (4) passes are available at participating locations only, on a first-come, first-serve basis, starting on the 1st of the following months: December, February, and April. Passes must be used to redeem tickets to the current show in production at time of checkout.

How the Program Works

  • Check out a pass from one of the six participating library locations.
  • The pass is good for one week; within that time, you must stop into the STC Box Office (170 Shaughnessy Street) to exchange the pass for the current production.
  • You are required to present your "due date receipt" and library card for the arts pass to prove its validity.
  • Once you have exchanged your pass for the tickets, return the pass to the library to have it removed from your library account.
  • You may only check out only one arts pass per household for the entire production season.
  • You must have an up-to-date adult GSPL card to check out an arts pass.
