Meet Your Maker-in-Residence:
Brittany McNamara

Brittany McNamaraAbout Brittany

Brittany McNamara, known as Grayson or Cxptaingrayson in local cosplay circles, will share her maker skills over the next few months as they relate to the world of cosplay (the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game, especially one from the Japanese genres of manga and anime). Brittany will host workshops focused on building props, patterning costumes, styling wigs and documenting all of those things through photography and vlogging.

Get in touch with your inner hero, villain or character! Get acquainted with creating a costume from scratch while learning the techniques necessary to become a cosplayer.

Drop in to the Makerspace on the following Thursdays from 4:30 PM - 6 PM to meet your maker-in-residence and see her work on armour builds and take part in a community project:

  • August 24th
  • September 21st

Interested in taking a project further with help from Britanny? Stop in on these dates to further develop a cosplay character!

The Maker-in-Residence program has been made possible with the generous support from the Friends of the Greater Sudbury Public Library.
